 Summer STEM Camp

The Project PRESS Summer STEM Camp is designed to provide K-8th Grade youth with dynamic learning opportunities to cultivate twenty-first century skills for improved academic performance and to develop a rock-solid character. 

Our Objectives

 Students in Grades K-8 will participate in fun, engaging, and hands-on activities that cultivate inquiry-based learning and involve the exploration and use of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

 Students will practice numeracy and/or literacy skills as they work collaboratively to design and develop artifacts related to different learning experiences during the Summer STEM Learning Academy.    

 Students will record the impact of each day’s learning experience by summarizing in writing what they have learned and explaining why what they have learned is important to the overall society.

What to Expect

Students will receive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) instruction from state-certified teachers

Life skills enrichment will be taught daily, based on the "Rock Solid Character" curriculum

Students will be in a safe, positive environment

Nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks provided daily by the Houston Food Bank

 Field trips to reinforce learning

The program will run from June 4th - August 3rd, of 2018.

The program will cost $70 a week per child and $120 for two siblings. Enrollment fee is $25 for the entire program!
